Maria Sharapova was spotted today at LAX airport in Los Angeles catching a flight. Maria is expected to play the WTA tournament in Doha next week so one can assume that’s where she was headed, wearing floral pants and fashionable bags in tow. Bon voyage, Masha!

The top women of the WTA have joined forces with celebrities in the latest installment of the WTA’s “Strong is Beautiful” campaign. Li Na (with Richard Branson above), Maria Sharapova, Serena Williams, Sabine Lisicki, Victoria Azarenka and Ana Ivanovic are among those in the campaign, joining celebrities (and tennis lovers) Stanley Tucci, Rory McIlroy, Timbaland, Aretha Franklin [...]
Ta Da! Maria Sharapova had a very busy day today. She defeated Petra Kvitova to reach the Roland Garros finals AND simultaneously reclaimed the WTA top spot. After her match, Masha received a trophy from WTA CEO Stacey Allaster. The ranking becomes “official” on Monday, but if crystal vases have already been handed out I’d say [...]
The BNP Paribas Open players party at Indian Wells brings all the players together with the help of some vintage cars and a green carpet. The lovely ladies of the WTA arrived in style… well, most of them. Enjoy my fashion two cents that (disclaimer) doesn’t reflect at all on their ability to play tennis.
The typical WTA All-Access Hour at Indian Wells today was a little less than typical when it comes to Caroline Wozniacki. The Dane tried to play some jokes on her fellow players – first trying (and failing) to pop a balloon behind Maria Sharapova and then making faces behind Agnieszka Radwanska.

Love the outfit, the va-va-voom hair and [...]
The only painting we usually see tennis players doing is painting the lines on the court (a figure of speech, of course). Today at the Australian Open, Germany’s Sabine Lisicki did some face painting of young girls during a promotional event.
It looks like Sabine was starting to paint a sunshine on a girl’s cheek in [...]

The draw resulted as the following: No.1 Marion Bartoli vs. Anabel Medina Garrigues, No.2 Peng Shuai vs. Nadia Petrova, No.3 Sabine Lisicki vs.Daniela Hantuchova and No.4 Roberta Vinci vs. [...]
Today in Istanbul, Liezel Huber was awarded the year-end doubles trophy for finishing No.1 in the world in 2011. Liezel and her partner, Lisa Raymond, will face Kveta Peschke and Katarina Srebotnik for the year-end doubles championship title tomorrow.
Also today, Ipek Senoglu, Kveta Peschke, Katarina Srebotnik, Samantha Stosur, Mary Pierce, Iva Majoli, Victoria Azarenka and [...]
