Radek Stepanek defeated Nicolas Almagro 6-4, 7-6, 3-6, 6-3 in today’s fifth and deciding singles rubber to clinch the Davis Cup title for CZE, defeating Spain 3-2 in Prague’s O2 Arena.

Less than 12 hours later… did it really happen? Yes it did. Andy Murray won the US Open and is a Grand Slam champion! Last night, after the crowds of fans had left Arthur Ashe, he and his uber-supportive girlfriend, Kim Sears, posed together with his first Slam trophy. Well done, Team Murray!

Team Murray was in less than full force today at the Andy Murray vs Novak Djokovic semifinal (Andy Ireland seemed MIA and we all know Mr. Lendl is relaxing on a golf course in Connecticut) but even so the team was excited as can be as Andy defeated Nole to reach the Olympic final.

Brooklyn Decker was at Wimbledon today cheering on hubby Andy Roddick during his first-round match against Martin Klizan at the All England Club. Andy won 7-5, 6-4 and Brooklyn won the Olympic WAG style contest (if there was one?) with flying colors with her red-and-white striped shirt and stars-and-stripes scarf.
