Cilic Wins Drama-Filled Queen’s Club Final

Talk about drama-Queen’s Club! The final between David Nalbandian and Marin Cilic was abruptly ended when Nalbandian frustratingly kicked a line judge’s stand, injuring the judge and defaulting the match. Marin Cilic became the winner but let’s put the whirlwind aside and admire him just chilling in the locker room with his ginormous trophy (and a bottle of Mo√ęt!) after.

Well I love the guy, and this has been a slow and arduous road back for Marin! He probably had the best week of anyone in England, returning nearly Djokovicesque, and digging deep to hold. He is resembling the Cilic of 2009 which we have sorely missed, and his Semi Final with Querrey illustrated that. A bittersweet day today, but I feel in my heart this would have gone 3 with Marin prevailing in the end. BRAVO MARIN, and what a stellar week of tennis you’ve had! 2012 Queens Club Champion, Marin Cilic! Hooray!

It’s great for Marin because I like this guy too.
    Sad for Nalbandian.
