Photos Of The Day: What A Murray Looks Like

There were many complaints at the fact that Court 7 of the BNP Paribas Open in Indian Wells wasn’t streaming the doubles match of Andy and Jamie Murray vs. Colin Fleming and Ross Hutchins. A bunch of Brits (some Scots) playing each other and no one could watch, even in the UK. The lack of doubles love by television cameras is a shame. And the match was a scorcher: 3-6, 6-2, 13-11 to the Murray brothers.

Sadly I couldn’t find any pictures from today’s match of Ross and Colin, which is very disappointing. So I took to the photowires to find a recent picture and found this gem: Some Stirling University students cheering during Ross and Colin’s doubles match at the Davis Cup tie of Great Britain vs. the Slovak Republic. I know it’s not Colin and Ross, but it’s amusing.

Ok, fine. Here’s a better picture (Andy, Ross and Colin at the Indian Wells player party goofing around with, who I think is, Andy’s old coach Miles Maclagan).

Totally agree ! The majority of players in the USA play doubles tennis. We can see singles on any TV station, all networks carry it (except ABC but they don’t know what they are doing with any sport). And all the Americans who have recently won championships are the doubles players also..the Bryan Brothers, Mardy Fish in Davis Cup, Bethanie Mattek-Sands (Aussie Open mixed doubles), Melanie Oudin, Jack Sock (US Open champs). Show More Doubles !!

I do wish they would show doubles on TV/livestreams. I was watching the livescore tick over for the match but it’s just not the same! Would love to have watched it. I’d also love to watch Rafa & Marc Lopez against Dolgopolov & Malisse tonight – I reckon that one will be really nice to watch. So jealous of a number of friends of mine who are actually there!
