The BNP Paribas Open players party at Indian Wells brings all the players together with the help of some vintage cars and a green carpet. The lovely ladies of the WTA arrived in style… well, most of them. Enjoy my fashion two cents that (disclaimer) doesn’t reflect at all on their ability to play tennis.
Best Dressed: Dominika Cibulkova. You really can’t go wrong with a white shift dress and nude pumps and Domi pulls it off well with a slicked-back ponytail. A classic look done right.
Runner Up: Ana Ivanovic (with Novak Djokovic). Beautiful in a blueish minidress, Ana was perfect for the party. Her best accessory may have been world no.1 Nole, but even without him she looked fantastic.
Up-and-comers Sorana Cirstea (left) and Sloane Stephens (right) enjoyed the party in two totally different looks. Sorana went with a girly frock and nude pumps while Sloane opted for the casual (yet trendy) oversized blouse.
If anyone has done parties to the max it’s Caroline Wozniacki (left) and Jelena Jankovic (right). Caro ditched her usually Herve Leger look for a great, grey blazer and comfy flats. Despite looking more ready for the office than a party, I do like the outfit. JJ went for a wild print and strappy sandals. The shoes aren’t my favorite but I appreciated Jelena’s printed risk.
Nadia Petrova’s (left) top didn’t really leave me green with envy, but her leather motorcycle jacket did! And Aleksandra Wozniack (right) stood out in pretty sparkles and brought a little festive to the night.
No.1 in the world came in dead last in my book. Victoria Azarenka loves her fashion risks and sometimes-hipster look but the only thing I like about this outfit is the shoes. When hipster goes hippie it’s usually not a good thing.
