Maria Sharapova is seen arriving at Taiwan Taoyuan International Airport and was greeted by “throngs of screaming Taiwanese fans upon her arrival.”
The fashionable traveler and world No. 2 signed autographs for fans who got up early to welcome her on her first-ever trip to Taiwan for an exhibition match against Vera Zvonareva.
According to Focus Taiwan, when asked what she was bringing to Taiwan as a gift, Sharapova said she brought her tennis rackets and skills to thank local fans.
The exhibition will take place at Taipei Arena on Thursday.
