Jelena Dokic fought off match points in the second set to beat Lucie Safarova 2-6, 7-6, 6-4 and win the title at the Malaysian Open in two hours and 41 minutes. It’s her sixth career WTA title but her first since 2003.
Nice to see her back on top!

Q: Did Venus buy all of those hats yesterday?
S. Williams: The past few days she has been in hat mode: She has been in all the foregrounds and I was in the background. She loves to shop so I was a little disappointed.
Q: So she is going to bring back a bunch of hats. What do you take back…

I think you’re mistaken. WTA site says she was in her last final in 2003 but her last title was 2002.
