Fashion Focus: Sloane Stephens Gets Glam For Teen Vogue

American 17-year-old Sloane Stephens is no slouch.

Last year she won the Junior Girls’ doubles titles at the French Open, Wimbledon and the US Open, with Hungarian partner Timea Babos. She’s cited Venus Williams, Serena Williams and Kim Clijsters as her inspirations in tennis, and Sloane might be on that list for another young girl someday at the rate she’s going.

Off court, Sloane has been featured in Teen Vogue‘s “Denim for Every Body.” Representing the athletic build, Sloane talks styling tips and self-confidence secrets in the Style section:

Who’s That Girl? Sloane, seventeen, is a tennis phenom sponsored by Under Armour, and she’s generated a lot of buzz since her 2009 U.S. Open appearance. She recently went pro, so 2011 will be a big year for her as she takes on a full Women’s Tennis Association schedule for the first time, starting with the Australian Open.

Styling Tip: “Having an athletic body makes it difficult to find clothes that fit perfectly. Denim with a little stretch tends to work best for girls like me with muscular legs.”

Self-Confidence Secret:”The secret to looking good is feeling good. After that, wearing clothes you love does the trick.”

Watch a behind-the-scenes video featuring bonus interviews with Sloane and her fellow denim-mates, Kay Panabaker, Hayley Hasselhoff and Whitney Port.
