The practice courts at the US Open were as busy as a beehive, with appearances by John Isner and Maria Kirilenko (pictured above). WTA Tour number 1 doubles player Liezel Huber and her partner, Nadia Petrova practiced on court number 5, as did up-and-comer Andrea Petkovic (who benefited from a walkover yesterday).

Germany’s Andrea Petkovic practiced with her coach (and with a taped thigh).
Liezel Huber practiced solo for a few minutes.
Huber’s partner, Nadia Petrova, showed up soon after.
John Isner practiced in front of a crowd of eager young ladies and Georgia Bulldog fans. We even heard a “sick ‘em ‘dawgs” at one point.
