David Nalbandian of Argentina continues his hot winning streak since his win at the Legg Mason Tennis Classic. In the first round of the Rogers Cup in Toronto, he defeated 10th-seed Spaniard David Ferrer 7-5, 3-6, 6-3.
In the second round, Nalbandian defeated another Spaniard – Tommy Robredo – 6-3, 6-0. Today, he defeated 5th-seeded Swede Robin Soderling 4-6, 6-4, 6-1.
See a pattern?
Nalbandian is back from hip surgery and smashing the ball as if he never went away. He’s clearly back in fighting form and now in his second-straight Quarterfinals. Players in his path better watch out.
By the picture above, we’re guessing Andy Murray knows what’s coming.
