News broke yesterday that a racquet and shirt used by Nicolas Mahut during the longest tennis match ever will have a home in the International Tennis Hall of Fame in Newport, RI. So we’re hoping three things:
- That someone will remember to launder the shirt first,
- That John Isner’s equipment will likewise be represented, and
- That all of said memorabilia will be well-labeled so that we can tell the Wimbledon whites apart. (Don’t get us wrong, we know that Isner is a Nike man and than Mahut wears Lacoste, but what if your average visitor to the International Tennis Hall of Fame doesn’t?)
